Whisk + Whimsy Micro Bakery Is Here
A little bit about me — and the bakery
When I first launched Whisk + Whimsy last year, I told myself I wouldn’t add “managing a blog” to the list of things that come with running a micro bakery. But then my niece, Hope, introduced me to Substack after starting Room Services a few months ago, and I quickly realized this could be the perfect place to share a little more of the story behind the bakery.
This space will be part behind-the-scenes journal, part practical resource, and part community gathering place. I’m excited to share the everyday moments of running a small bakery — from recipe testing and early baking mornings to menu planning, seasonal inspiration, and the little details that make handmade food feel special.
You’ll also find helpful information about the menu, ingredient choices, storage tips, serving ideas, and the thought process behind what I bake each week. I’ll also occasionally post some of my favorite recipes to pair with my bakery offerings.
I won’t be posting every week, but I hope to share something here a few times a month — whenever inspiration strikes or there’s something worth passing along from the kitchen.
